Q: Is my business eligible for tax abatement?

A: In some cases, yes.  Contact us with your inquiry.

Q: How do I get all of the permits I need to start my business or build my facility?

A: Our business counselor or someone on staff can help you through the permit process.

What is a Renaissance Zone?

A: Renaissance Zones were created to generate economic growth in selected areas of the state by abating state and local taxes for any business or resident currently in or moving into one of these regions. Michigan became the first state in the country with these tax free zones. Gratiot County and Montcalm County, which borders Gratiot County on the west, together were selected as one of eleven original communities in Michigan to contain a Renaissance Zone.

Am I eligible for a grant?

A: In most cases, the answer is no.  However, feel free to contact us with your inquiry.
