Successful Launch

In July, we successfully launched the new Chamber Connection e-newsletter. Admittedly, there were a few bugs that needed to be worked out, but we think we have it pretty well under control now! Since the launch, we have had a positive response to the new format. We feel that this is the best way to communicate with our members for a number of reasons. We do acknowledge that there are some members who are not currently using e-mail. For that reason, we have scheduled some class with GTEC for members who are new to the world of computers. The classes are free and will be offered a few different times.  We also have member companies that offer Chamber member discounts on computer equipment, so if you know a member who needs equipment, or training tell them to call the Chamber office (I’m guessing that they are not reading this if they don’t have a computer, so please pass on this information.).

Since the launch of the e-newsletter, we have added many new names to the contact list, but can certainly add more. If you have people in your company that should be added to the list, please e-mail us at chamber@gratiot.org. Also, if you know of anyone who is considering joining the Chamber, please feel free to e-mail us with their information too. We would be happy to send the e-newsletter to them so they can see all of the benefits of being a Chamber member.

The other project that the Marketing Committee is continuing to work on is the Network Connections program. We are looking for people who are interested in joining a referral group that will meet on a weekly basis to share information and referrals. These groups can be very beneficial to your business if you attend regularly. There is a small investment, and you must be a Chamber member. If you are interested, please contact the Chamber office and have your name put on the list. We will be forming groups starting in September.
