Ithaca Promotional Committee

I believe that we all find that there are never enough hours in the day during the summer, for all the activities that we want to do, and still enjoy the beautiful weather. Hopefully you will find time to attend some of the activities in Ithaca during the next few months.

 

SUMMER EVENTS IN ITHACA:

 

FARMERS MARKET will be held every Saturday from June to October, at the Commercial Bank Parking lot at the corner of Center St. and S.Pine River St. Stop by and enjoy their selection of fresh fruits and vegetables.

 

AG EXPO FAIR will be begin June 24th and continue until June 29th, the Fair will close with a Rodeo on July 1st at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds. Harness Racing will also be held June 30th, and July 1st, and 2nd.

 

LUNCH ON THE LAWN July 12th from 12:00-1:00 p.m.  Come and enjoy the beautiful voice of Angie Ballard singing for your enjoyment, purchase lunch from any of our local establishments and bring it Downtown to enjoy, and listen to Angie sing and enjoy the fellowship of your friends and neighbors.

 

August 16th Lunch on the Lawn will feature Nancy Woods a local Christian Singer.

September 13th Lunch on the Lawn will feature the Ithaca High School Jazz Band.

 

ENTERAINMENT ON THE HISTORICAL MUSEUM LAWN July 14th at 7:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the entertainment of past Ithaca High School Musical Performers. Many of these young men and ladies you enjoyed their voices when they were in high school, now you have a chance to hear them again, and you will wonder where the years have gone.

 

ITHACA KIDS DAY July 26th Area youth in grades 3rd-6th are invited to attend this day camp in Ithaca.  The day will be filled with many activities exploring Ithaca and what it has to offer. There is no charge for the camp, and lunch will be furnished by Ric’s Food Center. Registration forms available at Ithaca City Hall.

 

GARDEN THYME WALK July 27th from the hours of 4:00 -8:00 p.m. sponsored by the Master Gardeners of Gratiot County. This tour will be an evening of touring 6 beautiful gardens in and around Ithaca. Tickets are $5.00 for the entire tour, and can be purchased in advance at the Gratiot County Extension Office, and the Gratiot Area Chamber or they can be purchased at the homes the evening of the tour.

 

110 YEARS OF HARMONY July 29th in Woodland Park. This fun filled afternoon of entertainment will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Mid State Barbershoppers, and the 50th Anniversary of the Sweet Adeline’s. Concert will begin at 2:00 p.m. and a Hog Roast served by the Ithaca Masons will begin at 1:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the fellowship and entertainment in the Woodland Park that afternoon.

 

FARMERS MARKET IN WOODLAND PARK Thursday August 10th  4-8:00 p.m.  Come and purchase your fresh fruit and vegetables, along with other crafts while enjoying the atmosphere of Woodland Park and let the little ones in your family enjoy Playscape.

 

ITHACA HOMETOWN FUN FEST Friday and Saturday August 25-26th

 

I hope that all of you will mark your calendar for these events, and enjoy our beautiful community that we live in. Don’t forget Alma’s 150th Celebration that will be held on July 11th -15th.  We enjoyed the Alma residents celebrating with us on our 150th Celebration and it is our turn to show them our support.
